Thanks to the support of the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism, Testimonies of a Quiet New England Town, written and directed by Matthew Troy and produced by Donna McCalla on behalf of the Hebron Historical Society, will begin filming in May 2009.  This major film documents the 1787 rescue of Cesar and Lowis Peters from southern slave traders.  The event is the earliest known and fully documented evidence of anti-slavery/abolitionist action in America.  The Society is grateful to bring this story to the public. Learn more...
