CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant

The Hebron Historical Society was awarded a $5100 CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant from CT Humanities (CTH). CT Cultural Fund Operating Grants assist organizations as they recover from the pandemic and maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public.

These funds will aid the Hebron Historical Society in covering annual expenses and assist with technology improvements to help protect and promote the history of Hebron.

The Society was one of 723 organizations in Connecticut receiving a CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant. Totaling more than $8.5M, these grants are part of a two-year, $30.7M investment in arts, humanities, and cultural nonprofits by the CT General Assembly and approved by Governor Ned Lamont.

This CT Cultural Fund Operating Grant is provided to The Hebron Historical Society from CT Humanities, with funding from the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) from the Connecticut State Legislature.

Museum Makeover Grant

The Hebron Historical Society is proud to announce we have been chosen to receive a Museum Makeover Grant. This grant provides professional services of a museum curator and $4000 in funding to create a storage area in Old Town Hall.

Creation of a dedicated storage area will help us to properly and safely store items in our collection and facilitate planning future exhibits.

Hebron Historical Society continues our mission to preserve the rich history of Hebron for future generations.

Professional Archivist to Review Our Colloection

Hebron Historical Society was awarded The Collections Assessment Grant to help preserve the unique history of Hebron.

This $650 grant to Hebron Historical Society provides a professional archivist to review our collection and offers guidance in responsible preservation practices.

Our mission is to preserve the documentation and history of Hebron’s past, this grant provides expertise we could not otherwise afford.

The Collections Assessment Grant is a program managed by Conservation ConneCTion and is supported through a partnership grant of the Connecticut Heritage Foundation at the Connecticut State Library and CT Humanities (CTH), with funding provided by the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development.
