The Hebron Historical Society is a nonprofit corporation established in 1966 "to develop interest in, preserve, and promote interest in Hebron history by every feasible means to as wide an audience as possible."
Saving the Peters House: Community Action Needed
We have updated the Cesar and Lowis Peters with new original images and transcriptions documenting the incident.

At their January 8, 2008 meeting, members of the Amistad Commission voted unanimously to endorse Connecticut Freedom Trail status to the Peters House in Hebron. In addition, members voted to endorse working with the Society on application to the National Park Service for Underground Railroad, Network to Freedom status. Stay tuned!!
